The University of Michigan basketball team and Michigan Faithful rejoice as the Wolverines beat Syracuse in the Final Four, securing a spot in the national championship game for the first time in 20 years. Supported by a strong effort from the Michigan bench, the Wolverines spread out their scoring. Still, Mitch McGary recorded his third tournament double-double (10 points, 12 rebounds) while Tim Hardaway Jr. and Glenn Robinson III chipped in 13 and 10 points, respectively. Michigan beat the Orange in front of 73,350 fans and moved to a 31-7 record, matching a program-high mark for wins set during the 1992-93 season and setting a career benchmark for Head Coach John Beilein.
